“How do we prepare politicians, businesses, and public authorities for the opportunities and challenges of the future? Our philosophy is citizens first. Citizen-focused and user-driven AI innovation. In many cases, it makes sense to roll out artificial intelligence, but we need to know what problem – and not least, whose problem – we are trying to solve, and consider the potential consequences, both now and in the future,” write a group of researchers in an op-ed in Politiken.
The development of artificial intelligence requires active involvement from researchers, decision-makers, and businesses. And this is exactly what the new center Caisa – the national Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society – aims to support by conducting research into where AI can do the most good for the greatest number of people – and where we should exercise caution.
All the researchers who contributed to the op-ed are affiliated with Caisa, including Helene Ratner, who is also involved in the ADD project.
