One of the key insights is the importance of incorporating different types of disabilities into all our designs from the outset if we are to create a more inclusive society. Another is the need to establish a strong match between tech entrepreneurs and the citizens who need these technologies to improve their quality of life. Finally, public authorities and caseworkers who assist people with disabilities must gain a deeper understanding of the technological possibilities.
The Innovation Summit took place at Copenhagen City Hall, with over 320 attendees. The purpose of the day was to focus on how people with disabilities can benefit from technological developments — and the barriers they encounter when engaging with digital solutions. The day featured presentations, debates, good practice examples, and a handful of stands showcasing new solutions for the target group.
