If you ask the average Dane, the answer is “not really.” This is one of the findings in a new report on the influence of tech giants on democracy, conducted for the Center for Social Media, Tech, and Democracy.
However, the researchers behind the report also conclude that the amount of misinformation on social media appears to be more limited than often claimed. Still, drawing more definitive conclusions requires additional data, which tech giants have so far been unwilling to share.
The report is the first annual study of the influence of tech giants, commissioned by the government and the parties behind the 2023-2026 Media Agreement.
