We sought to answer this question when the ADD project and Politiken hosted an exciting evening at this year’s ADD Talks, where we delved into the use of artificial intelligence in the major election year of 2024. With visits from political parties, the media, and the academic world, the event explored whether we can expect an influx of artificial intelligence in upcoming Danish election campaigns – and whether it will benefit or harm democracy. The perspectives and dilemmas were many, but there was one thing both panelists and the audience agreed on: there is a need for guidelines and regulation in a world where AI is only going to become more prominent.
